AMEB(WA) VIOLIN CHECKLIST SHEETS

FOR USE WITH THE CURRENT SYLLABUS ONLY

*Please note: Each checklist begins "as prepared from the current Syllabus and outlined in the 2007 Manual of Syllabuses in conjunction with the 2001/2002 AMEB Violin Technical Work Book."

Reference in the checklists to 2007 simply means that this was the year that the old syllabus was withdrawn and from 2007 the current syllabus only could be used.

The checklists on the Website in 2008 are the current ones.

A number of choices are now available to students preparing their technical work for AMEB examinations using the current violin syllabus and the current technical work book.

Therefore, Mr Graham Wood, our senior violin examiner, has produced Checklist sheets which make preparing this technical work more straightforward.

Graham has given considerable time and energy to the project, designing one comprehensive sheet for each grade. A complete set of these Checklist sheets (Preliminary to Grade 8) is included here for your perusal and use.

The idea is that teacher and student compile a Checklist sheet which the student uses in preparation for and also brings to the examination.

This is for candidates preparing and presenting from the current syllabus. At the end of 2006, the Violin Syllabus (1995) was withdrawn. From 2007, the Violin Syllabus (2002) is the only Violin syllabus available for examination.
